Fresh new playroom

After a long weekend of painting and installation, my first client project is done! I had so much fun designing a room and seeing it through to completion. My very dear friend asked me to design a playroom/ family room that was bright, modern and fun. We went with a beautiful citron, blue, gray and white Ikat fabric for the drapery panels and decorated the room around those colors. I painted horizontal stripes in a soft blue (bubble by Sherwin Williams) on the already light beige walls. I think the room came together beautifully and I couldn't be happier with the space.

Drapes are up...

Finally hung the drapes up that I ordered from Etsy the other day. The boys room isn't finished yet but getting closer. Taking down the brown blackout drapery panels and putting up modern orange panels has already made such a difference.

To paint or not to paint

I have been thinking about painting the stairs in our house for quite some time now.  My only problem is that I can't decide which way to paint them.

This is cool, but too much going on for my project.

This ombre pattern is awesome.  I have something like this in mind for our house.  Just can't decide on what color palate to use.  Love.

And then there's pattern.  I do love mixing patterns.  I think this idea could really be cool using only black and white patterns.

I have some emerald green accents going on in the room, so this could be fun.  Although my heart is really with the blue ombre stairs.  Decisions, decisions....

Back in black

Things are ever changing around here. Decided to change the half bath from tan and white stripes to black and white.

I knew I would love it!

Brought to you by the letter L

Look what finally arrived! I am redoing the boys room and since both their names start with L, I just had to use this.
