My new favorite blog!

Long time no read!  I just have to share with you my new favorite blog.  This girl is hilarious.  I don't know anyone that watches as much Bravo as me, but she DOES!  My husband says I like to watch rich women yell at each other.  I actually don't really like the fighting but it sure is entertaining.  If you like reality TV half as much as I do, you must check out It's the Little Things blog.  Trust me, you'll love it!  I need her to teach me how to insert all the fun video clips.

Have a great weekend!

Fresh new playroom

After a long weekend of painting and installation, my first client project is done! I had so much fun designing a room and seeing it through to completion. My very dear friend asked me to design a playroom/ family room that was bright, modern and fun. We went with a beautiful citron, blue, gray and white Ikat fabric for the drapery panels and decorated the room around those colors. I painted horizontal stripes in a soft blue (bubble by Sherwin Williams) on the already light beige walls. I think the room came together beautifully and I couldn't be happier with the space.

I need it or want it?

Flipping through the Urban Outfitters catalog and I spy a super cool sweater. I think it's hip and cool but not for me to actually wear but I had to share it. And then there's shoes I need. I really want an old school pair of Van slip ons. And the last shoe, well I just had to have. Got them in the mail yesterday and they are all sorts of fabulous.

Drapes are up...

Finally hung the drapes up that I ordered from Etsy the other day. The boys room isn't finished yet but getting closer. Taking down the brown blackout drapery panels and putting up modern orange panels has already made such a difference.

To paint or not to paint

I have been thinking about painting the stairs in our house for quite some time now.  My only problem is that I can't decide which way to paint them.

This is cool, but too much going on for my project.

This ombre pattern is awesome.  I have something like this in mind for our house.  Just can't decide on what color palate to use.  Love.

And then there's pattern.  I do love mixing patterns.  I think this idea could really be cool using only black and white patterns.

Dreaming of

I have some emerald green accents going on in the room, so this could be fun.  Although my heart is really with the blue ombre stairs.  Decisions, decisions....
